Two Lee Hartsfeld originals--The Star Spangled Tiki and Star Spangled Blues. They're a mixture of MIDI and "live" playing, and I used MAGIX, Sonar X2, and my amazing Casio WK-3800 to make them. Oh, and my fingers pressing on the Casio keys.
I'd intended to have several more of these today, but I've been dealing with Casio's quirky "Mixing" function, wherein it's not the easiest task in the world to keep the tone assignments (per MIDI channel) to stay where you put them. Nothing like the sound scheme shifting, unannounced, while you're trying to orchestrate eight or nine MIDI tracks. Ah, technology. But I managed to get these two completed and "in the can." (Fishing them out was a chore.)
These are very brief, but (imo) to the point and, um... sassy. (That's the only word that came to mind.) Yes, sassy. Impudently bold. Saucy. Pert.
To the anthems: Star Spangled Tiki/Blues (Lee Hartsfeld, 2013)
Written and played by your blogger on Sonar X2 and Casio WK-3800, then edited with MAGIX.
HAPPY FOURTH!!
